01.- Do I need a special license to drive a motorhome?
No, it is not necessary. With a Class B driver’s license and at least two years of experience, you can drive our motorhomes without any problem. If you are not a resident of the EU, you will need an international driving permit.
02.- What is the minimum age to rent a motorhome?
To rent and drive one of our vehicles, you must be at least 26 years old.
03.- Do the motorhomes come with insurance? What does it cover?
Yes, all our motorhomes have comprehensive insurance. In case of damage, the renter will only be responsible for an excess fee, which ranges between €750 and €2000, depending on the model. However, this insurance does not cover civil, administrative, or criminal responsibilities resulting from an accident or improper behavior.
04.- What should I do if I have an accident or any incident with the motorhome?
If an accident, theft, fire, or damage by wild animals occurs, it is crucial to immediately notify both the police and Golden Routes. Additionally, you must fill out and submit the corresponding accident report. It is important not to admit or acknowledge responsibility outside of the “Friendly Accident Statement.”
05.- What should I pay attention to when driving a motorhome?
Since it’s a larger vehicle, it’s essential to be careful with bridges, balconies, height limiters, tolls, parking areas, and gas stations. You also need to watch out for obstacles such as tree branches that could damage the motorhome.
06.- What speed can I travel at with the motorhome?
The ideal cruising speed is between 100 and 110 km/h, always respecting the speed limits of each country. In Spain, the maximum allowed speed is 100 km/h, while in some European countries like France or Germany, it can reach 120-130 km/h.
07.- Does it get hot inside the motorhome?
Don’t worry, our motorhome is equipped with the BELAIRE air conditioning system, which works with high-capacity batteries to ensure efficient climate control.
08.- Can I park the motorhome anywhere?
Yes, as long as there are no signs prohibiting it. Many cities and towns have specific areas for motorhomes, which makes parking even easier.
09.- Where can I empty the grey and black water?
There are designated points in service areas, campgrounds, and some cities both in Spain and throughout Europe.
10.- Where can I get drinking water?
Drinking water is available at most gas stations and campgrounds. In some places, a small fee may be charged to refill the tank.
11.- How do I get more gas if I need it during the trip?
At the start of the rental, we provide you with two full 11 kg gas bottles, which you can return empty at no extra cost. If you need more, many gas stations and campgrounds offer refills. Note that in foreign countries, connections and gas bottles may differ from the Spanish ones, so they cannot be exchanged.
12.- What are the dimensions of the motorhome beds?
The bed measurements in the Adria Matrix Axess 670 SL motorhome: Rear twin beds: Two single beds, 200 x 85 cm and 190 x 85 cm. Electric drop-down central bed: Located above the living area, measuring 190 x 130/110 cm. Convertible bed in the dining area (dinette): Measuring 210 x 130 cm (width varies from 60 cm).
